Researchers at Tohoku Medical and Pharmaceutical University in Sendai, Japan, conducted a study on the stability of daptomycin in icodextrin-based peritoneal dialysis solutions. The study found that daptomycin maintained 90% of its initial concentration in the solution for 72 hours at room temperature and 12 hours at 37°C. The research aims to enhance outpatient management and preparation for treating peritonitis using daptomycin. The findings were published in the Peritoneal Dialysis International journal by SAGE Publications. [Extracted from the article] |
