Abstrakt: A study conducted at Capital Medical University in Beijing, China, explored the relationship between low serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT) levels and poor outcomes in acute ischemic stroke (AIS) patients, regardless of age. The research found that lower ALT levels were independently associated with unfavorable outcomes in AIS patients, suggesting a potential role of the liver in AIS outcomes. The study analyzed 572 AIS patients and concluded that considering both neurological and liver functions post-stroke is crucial for patient care. [Extracted from the article]
