The article discusses research which evaluated the use of different personal protective equipment (PPE) levels and laryngoscopes for tracheal intubation. Topics explored include the tracheal intubation process during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, the assessment of the COVID-19 patient's physical status particularly airway condition prior to intubation, and the incidents of airway injuries and post-intubation systolic blood pressure increases reported. |
