The Office of the Department of Agricultural Sciences, Russian Academy of Sciences, has tracked scientific research outcomes at its meetings in 2023. Much attention was drawn to the domestic breeding capacity and vegetable plant seed production; Crimean plant genetic resource assessment to develop domestic strategies for breeding vegetable, berry, and grape crops; laser and spectrum technologies for the agricultural industry; and innovative technologies for biological animal protection. Moreover, scientific support to stave off land desertification; sustainable land use facing natural, climatic, and social challenges; digitalization of agrifood systems; and educating and training the next generation of young researchers in agricultural sciences were considered.
