Since 2003, FEBS Letters has awarded an annual prize to the corresponding author of the best research paper published in the journal in the previous calendar year. The award‐winning article is selected by a special committee formed by appointed members of the Editorial Board, plus one external member. The winner of the 2024 FEBS Letters Award is Professor Rachel Flynn of Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine, for the outstanding paper "The exoribonuclease XRN2 mediates degradation of the long non‐coding telomeric RNA TERRA."
