The Department of Urology has conducted research on vesicovaginal fistula, focusing on a new technique for repairing complex cases. The study introduced a modified transvaginal repair method using double-layer parallel in situ suturing, which showed successful healing in a patient with a self-inflicted complex VVF. The research suggests that this technique could be a simple and effective approach for early repair of complex VVF, with potential for broader clinical application. Further studies with larger cohorts are needed to validate these findings. [Extracted from the article] |
