Abstrakt: | Recent research from University Hospital Ulm highlights the immunotherapeutic potential of mutated NPM1 for the treatment of Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). NPM1 gene mutations are common in AML, with patients showing a more favorable prognosis due to the immunogenicity created by these mutations. Preclinical trials suggest that AML patients with NPM1 mutations may benefit from immunogenic strategies targeting the PD-1 immune checkpoint pathway. Further investigation into the mechanisms of this immunogenicity is needed to optimize treatment strategies. [Extracted from the article] |
