Abstrakt: A recent study conducted by researchers at Lincoln University in New Zealand focused on consumer habits and satisfaction with gluten-free products in European food retail. The study surveyed 7296 gluten-free consumers across 13 European countries to understand their purchasing habits, satisfaction levels, and coping strategies. The results showed significant differences in attitudes and behaviors between consumers diagnosed with celiac disease, those who are gluten-intolerant, and caregivers of individuals with a gluten-free diet. Despite differences in purchasing frequency, the study suggests a common hierarchy of gluten-free products that could form the basis for a European gluten-free food basket.
