Researchers at Universitas Syiah Kuala conducted a study on the artificial breeding of depik fish Rasbora tawarensis, a species lacking known breeding methods. The research focused on the impact of sperm extenders and dilution ratios on sperm characteristics and fertilization rates of depik fish eggs. The study found that Ringer's solution as an extender at a 1:40 dilution ratio yielded the best results in terms of sperm motility, fertilization, and hatching rates. This research provides valuable insights into improving artificial breeding techniques for depik fish. [Extracted from the article] |
