A recent study conducted at the Haldia Institute of Dental Sciences and Research in West Bengal, India, focused on the preservation of alveolar ridge dimension in dentistry. The study compared the efficacy of using autogenous dentin block versus allograft block in socket preservation after tooth extraction. Results showed a significant amount of radiographic socket fill over 12 months in all three groups, with statistically significant socket fill observed in both the autogenous dentin and allograft groups. This research provides valuable insights into techniques for maintaining bone volume and achieving desirable functional and esthetic outcomes in dental procedures. [Extracted from the article] |
