The Covid-19 pandemic is a world crisis that has never been predicted before. This condition is a challenge for the world of education, including health education, especially in midwifery study programs. Education providers must develop a learning method that is adaptive to the conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of flipped classrooms for midwifery students on a particular subject. The subject matter explained contraceptive implants. The participant of this study were 60 female students of the 6th-semester level who took the Family Planning and Reproductive Health course. Quantitative research method with quasi-experimental pretest and posttest design. Each group had 30 students. Descriptive statistics and One-Way ANOVA were used to analyze the data. Even though the mean comparison (gain score and posttest) had not significantly different, the increased score between the pretest and posttest showed that the treatment group was better than controlled group. The flipped classroom supported by the contraceptive implant video enhances the students' understanding of the subject matter more effectively. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
