Abstrakt: Honeybee venom (apitoxin), composed of bioactive components such as melittin, apamin, and phospholipase A2, has been used in traditional medicine for centuries. Modern research explores its potential therapeutic applications for various diseases. Clinical studies and preclinical research have demonstrated its efficacy in treating conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, neurological disorders, and cancer. Despite its therapeutic potential, bee venom carries risks, including allergic reactions. Advances in synthetic venom production offer promising alternatives for broader and safer clinical applications. While more large-scale clinical trials are needed to confirm its efficacy and safety, honeybee venom remains a compelling candidate for novel treatments across a wide range of diseases.
