Abstrakt: A recent study conducted at the Plastic Surgery Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences compared the effectiveness of traditional occlusal guides with computer-aided surgical simulation (CASS) guides in treating patients with bimaxillary protrusion. The research found that patients treated with CASS guides showed significant improvements in key cephalometric measurements and aesthetic outcomes compared to those treated with traditional guides. The study concluded that CASS-guided surgery offers a superior alternative for treating bimaxillary protrusion, providing more precise and aesthetically pleasing results, highlighting the advantages of advanced digital simulation and 3-dimensional printing technologies in orthognathic surgery.
