Researchers at Anhui University in Hefei, China, have developed a biosensor for the specific and sensitive detection of cancer cells using quantum dot/hydrogel-coated double optical fiber balls. The biosensor demonstrated high sensitivity, robustness, and anti-interference properties, making it suitable for clinical applications. The sensor showed specific recognition capabilities for cancer cells with biotin receptor overexpression and exhibited promising potential for cancer diagnosis and treatment. This research was funded by various organizations and has been peer-reviewed for publication in Sensors and Actuators B: Chemical. [Extracted from the article] |
