Abstrakt: Researchers from the State University of Londrina conducted a clinical trial to analyze the impact of muscle strengthening on pain, functionality, muscle endurance, and postural control in women with greater trochanter pain syndrome (GTPS). The study included 26 women who were divided into two groups and evaluated before, during, and after a 12-week intervention. The results showed that strength exercises for the hips alone or combined with core exercises led to decreased pain, improved functional capacity, and enhanced core endurance in individuals with GTPS. The findings suggest that targeted muscle strengthening can be beneficial for managing GTPS symptoms. [Extracted from the article]
