A recent study conducted by researchers at the Faculty of Dentistry in Tehran, Iran, compared the posterior airway changes in patients with skeletal Class III malocclusion treated with a face mask and reverse chin cup over a 1.5-year follow-up period. The study found that both treatment methods effectively corrected the malocclusion and increased the posterior airway space, with the face mask showing greater enhancement. However, there was no significant difference between the two groups in terms of posterior airway space changes. The findings suggest that both treatments are effective in addressing Class III malocclusion. [Extracted from the article] |
