A recent study conducted at Southern Medical University in Guangdong, China, focused on adapting and evaluating the Chinese version of the Intermittent Self-Catheterization Questionnaire (ISC-Q) for patients with neurogenic lower urinary tract dysfunction (NLUTD). The research found that the ISC-Q is a valid and reliable tool for assessing quality of life in Chinese patients who engage in intermittent self-catheterization. The study involved 405 Chinese patients with NLUTD and included analyses of floor and ceiling effects, item analysis, content validity, factor analysis, and reliability testing. The results indicated that the Chinese version of the ISC-Q is suitable for measuring quality of life in NLUTD patients practicing intermittent self-catheterization. [Extracted from the article] |
