A study conducted at Kirikkale University in Turkey focused on the validity and diagnostic ability of the Pancreatic Exocrine Insufficiency Questionnaire (PEI-Q) in Turkish patients. The research involved 161 participants, including 98 patients with PEI and 63 healthy controls, and found that the Turkish version of the PEI-Q is a reliable and valid screening tool for diagnosing PEI. The study concluded that the PEI-Q consistently assesses symptoms and quality of life in patients with PEI, aiding in diagnosis and treatment. The findings were published in The Turkish Journal of Gastroenterology in 2024. [Extracted from the article] |
