A recent study conducted at Hameed Latif Hospital in Lahore focused on the diagnostic accuracy of uterine artery Doppler (UAD) for screening preeclampsia in the second trimester of pregnancy. The research found a significant association between UAD results and the development of preeclampsia, with a sensitivity of 75% and specificity of 86%. The study suggests that Doppler USG could be a reliable tool for predicting preeclampsia in primigravidas, potentially aiding in early detection of the condition. [Extracted from the article] |
