The article examines the nature of multidimensional concepts, such as democracy and welfare, and how their various underlying dimensions can be aggregated to form overall judgments and comparisons using social choice theory. Topics include the challenges of disparate measurement scales, the implications of Khmelnitskaya's impossibility theorem for aggregation, and the proposal of a qualitative framework to facilitate meaningful comparisons across different dimensions. |
