Abstrakt: High entropy alloys (HEAs) have attracted significant attention from researchers in academia and industry due to their various applications. They are effectively utilized in the manufacturing industry and find extensive use in nuclear technology to enhance radiation shielding properties. In this research article, a novel alloy composition called Co20Cr20Fe20Ni20Ag20 was fabricated using the mechanical milling process. Several characterization methods, such as Scanning and Transmission Electron Microscopy, Energy-Dispersive Spectroscopy, x-Ray Diffraction, and Differential Thermal Analysis Calorimetry, were employed. It was observed that the crystal size decreased as the alloying time increased, and the synthesized alloy exhibited thermal stability across a wide temperature range. Additionally, radiation shielding parameters were experimentally determined using a 137Cs source and a NaI(Tl) detector system. The obtained results indicate that HEAs possess excellent radiation shielding properties and hold promise for applications in the radiation industry. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
