Abstrakt: Copper fins, renowned for their resistance to corrosion and exceptional thermal conductivity, serve as indispensable components in various heat transfer applications. This paper undertakes a comprehensive review, focusing on the composition, microstructure, mechanical properties, and corrosion behaviour of copper fin alloys, pivotal aspects that dictate their functionality and durability. The mechanical and thermal qualities of copper fin alloys predominantly stem from their composition. Metals like nickel, tin, and phosphorus, when added, significantly influence the alloy's strength and corrosion resistance. Furthermore, the size and distribution of grains within copper fins emerge as crucial determinants of their mechanical characteristics and overall performance. Manufacturing techniques play a pivotal role in shaping the microstructure and characteristics of copper fins. Processes such as rolling, extrusion, and casting offer versatility, enabling the production of copper fins with tailored properties to suit specific application requirements. Understanding the intricate interplay between composition, microstructure, and manufacturing processes is crucial for optimizing the performance and longevity of copper fins in heat transfer applications. Through a complete inspection of these elements, this paper purposes to deliver appreciated perceptions into the design and utilization of copper fins for enhanced efficiency and reliability in various industrial settings.
