The ecologicalal degradation associated with industrialization has led to greater resource consumption, pollution, and carbon emissions. While it led to increased productivity and economic growth, it also brought issues like poor working conditions, child labor, and pollution and ecologicalal degradation creating an adverse impact on future generations. However, awareness of these issues has grown, leading to efforts toward sustainable practices and cleaner technologies. Concepts like circular economy, green manufacturing, and renewable energy sources are gaining traction to mitigate the negative ecologicalal impacts of industrialization. To overcome such challenges, Sustainable Manufacturing (SM) interventions not only help mitigate ecologicalal impacts but also have the potential to generate cost savings, enhance product quality, and improve competitiveness. As industries continue to evolve, integrating sustainability into manufacturing practices becomes an essential strategy for both addressing ecologicalal challenges and fostering long-term economic and social prosperity. Operations is a fundamental procedure in the manufacturing sector involving material removal to attain the desired shape and size. Although operations is crucial for manufacturing a diverse array of engineered parts and components across industries, its ecologicalal impact cannot be overlooked. This impact stems from influences as energy depletion, material waste, and emissions generated during the method. The need for more ecologicalally friendly operations practices has driven the development of various green operations techniques. This article addresses the strategies of Green Operations and its importance globally while addressing subtractive operations, with the goal of promoting ecologicalally friendly practices and contributing to a clean, green, and safe ecological. The article highlights various strategies and technologies developed to minimize the ecologicalal impact through subtractive operations and related researches carried out and its future scope to carry forward.
