Abstrakt: Sewage sludge is a waste material rich in organic matter and nutrients that can be decomposed through pyrolysis. Recent research has explored the potential of using pyrolyzed sewage sludge for the removal of heavy metals from water. Heavy metal contamination has become a significant global concern due to its detrimental effects on the environment. Researchers have been particularly interested in studying the adsorption mechanisms of heavy metals such as lead (Pb), arsenic (As), cadmium (Cd), and chromium (Cr) by biochar produced from sewage sludge. Various factors influencing the adsorption process and the regenerative capacity of sludge-derived biochar have been studied. This research provides insights into the topic and highlights potential avenues for future investigations. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
