The Electric Vehicle (EV) growth in Indonesia can be reflected from electric vehicle production and development of EV spare parts. However, many important parts still rely on components from abroad. This research was collaboration two institution namely Mechanical Engineering Department in Politeknik Negeri Jakarta (PNJ) with PT XYZ. The work objective is to develop the design of BLDC motors with a maximum continuous power of 3000W of the hub type. It is aimed to support to increase the value of local spare parts in Indonesia and open up the manufacturer's ecosystem. The design of the BLDC motor with variations in the number of magnetic poles is done to achieve the optimal design for stator and motor performance tests in accordance with consumer needs. The experiment involving the design of three pole numbers are observed. While selecting the design using a selection indicator and scoring matrix taking into account. The results experiment showed that a 3kW continuous hub-type BLDC using different type of pole numbers follow the two rules. The torque increases linearly with the number of poles. This contradicts with the speed that it decreases in polynomial. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
