A recent study conducted by the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in London aimed to establish best practices for the assessment and management of children with idiopathic toe walking (ITW). The study used a Delphi approach with input from members of the British Society of Children's Orthopaedic Surgery and the Association of Paediatric Chartered Physiotherapists. Through a series of rounds, a total of 31 statements reached consensus, providing a benchmark for consistent and reliable practice in managing ITW. The study concluded that the consensus document can be shared with caregivers and patient groups to improve treatment outcomes. [Extracted from the article] |
