Abstrakt: |
A recent study conducted at the University Clinical Center of Kosovo examined the accuracy of determining the level of bowel resection in short-segment Hirschsprung's disease based on macroscopic evaluations. The researchers found that the intraoperative judgments made by experienced surgeons were highly accurate in determining the level of resection. This is particularly significant in low-income countries where frozen section biopsies are not available. The study suggests that macroscopic intraoperative assessment can be a safe alternative in these settings. [Extracted from the article] |
