A new report discusses research findings on colon cancer, specifically focusing on the role of necroptosis and long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD). The researchers collected datasets from COAD patients and used Cox and LASSO regression to identify prognostic necroptosis-related genes (NRGs) and NRGlncRNAs. They validated their findings using different populations and conducted cell experiments to verify the expression of prognostic NRGlncRNAs. The study identified several NRGlncRNAs and NRGs that play a role in immune response, oxidative stress, immune escape, telomere regulation, and cytokine response, influencing the development of COAD. These findings provide potential therapeutic targets and prognostic indicators for COAD. [Extracted from the article] |
