Abstrakt: A recent study published in the Journal of Occupational and Environmental Hygiene has demonstrated a significant reduction in harmful toilet plume aerosols (TPAs) in hospitals when using the Splashblocker toilet cover. TPAs can carry dangerous pathogens such as SARS-CoV-2, influenza, norovirus, legionella, and C. difficile, as well as active chemotherapy drugs. The study, conducted in 15 hospitals across the United States, showed a 99.98% reduction in TPAs when using the Splashblocker cover. This research provides strong evidence that the Splashblocker cover is highly effective in reducing TPAs and protecting healthcare workers, caregivers, and patients. [Extracted from the article]
