A recent study conducted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, examined the contamination of feed samples with Aflatoxin B1 (AFB1), a harmful mycotoxin. The study found that a significant number of samples did not meet the maximum limits for AFB1 as regulated in the United States and Pakistan. Specifically, 5.5% of the total samples were non-compliant with Pakistan standards, while 28.9% were non-compliant with US-FDA standards. The research concluded that this high prevalence of non-compliant feed poses a serious threat to animal health and production performance. [Extracted from the article] |
