Abstrakt: A recent study conducted by Universitas Nusa Putra found that almost every juvenile offender is diagnosed with one or more mental disorders. Currently, psychology plays a supplementary role in handling juvenile offenders at the police level, as stipulated in Article 27 of Law No. 11/2012. Forensic psychology is used to assess the mental function, mental status, and capacity of juvenile offenders at the time of the alleged crime, providing law enforcement agencies with clinical data and analyses to make informed decisions regarding criminal responsibility and appropriate measures. The research emphasizes the importance of documenting criminal histories related to the emotional or mental condition of juvenile offenders. [Extracted from the article]
