A recent study conducted at University Hospital Sant Joan de Reus in Spain explored the metabolic changes in breast cancer patients following different treatments. The study included 52 women diagnosed with breast cancer who underwent surgery, radiotherapy, and other treatments. The researchers found that the treatments led to favorable metabolic changes, including a decrease in pathways that promote cell proliferation and an increase in levels of anticancer molecules. These findings highlight the importance of metabolomics in understanding the effects of cancer treatments and identifying potential biomarkers for disease progression. [Extracted from the article] |
