Abstrakt: A recent study conducted by the University of Salamanca in Spain examined the long-term results of surgical treatment for female stress urinary incontinence (SUI) using the transobturator mid-urethral sling KIM system. The study found that the KIM system had good initial and long-term results, with a low recurrence rate and minimal complications. The majority of patients achieved continence after surgery, and continence persisted over time in a high percentage of patients. Complications such as mesh erosion, urinary urgency, chronic pain, and urinary tract infections were lower than those reported in other studies. Overall, the study suggests that the KIM system is an effective treatment option for SUI. [Extracted from the article]
