A patent application titled "Chimeric Klebicins" has been published online by the US Patent and Trademark Office. The inventors have developed new chimeric bacteriocins called klebicins, which are capable of effectively treating Klebsiella infections. These chimeric klebicins have a broader target cell range, reduced resistance, and increased bactericidal activity compared to individual klebicins.
