In order to successfully form an active and responsible citizen of Ukraine, endowed with a developed sense of dignity, a strong patriotic civic position, and readiness to fulfill civic responsibilities, it is necessary to understand the philosophical content of the basic concepts that are fundamental to civic education. This requires consideration of the worldview aspects of civic education in the dynamics of independent Ukraine. The purpose of the article is to analyze the factors influencing the current state of formation of worldview aspects, the problems of their formation and the relationship with civic competencies that have an impact on building a democratic society. The concept of «worldview» in Ukrainian and foreign discourse, in particular, by representatives of the Polish scientific community, is analyzed. It is established that a clear understanding of the concept of worldview formation affects the development of civic competencies, civic education and is among the priorities in the field of formal, non-formal and informal education. Attention is focused on the problematic issues of forming worldview aspects in the context of hybrid warfare and martial law in Ukraine. The author reveals philosophical views on the concept of «worldview» and analyzes its various interpretations by Ukrainian and Polish scholars. The goal was achieved by using a set of general scientific and special scientific methods. The terminological method was used to analyze the concept of «worldview» and its relationship with the understanding of civic engagement and its impact on the practical implementation of its manifestations. The cognitive method was used in the study of the praxeological, socio-political influence of worldview aspects on the development of civic education and the implementation of its results in practice. General scientific methods of theoretical research were also used: analysis, synthesis and axiological. The scientific novelty of the work is a holistic analysis of the concept of «worldview» and the factors shaping the worldview aspects of civic education in Ukraine. Through the application of philosophical and scientific-methodological principles, it is possible to form a theoretical basis for further practical use of the influence of scientific knowledge on the implementation of the process of forming worldview aspects and, as a result, active citizens. The main focus is on the current issues of forming worldview aspects of civic education as a social tool in the process of building a democratic society in the context of the Russian-Ukrainian war, which is an important factor in the education of conscious active citizenship, relevant in the context of the European vector of Ukraine's development.
