Readiness of schools in Indonesia in implementing information and communication technology (ICT) in mathematics learning.

Abstrakt: This research is based on the urgency of having school readiness in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), teachers' readiness in ICT-assisted teaching, and students' readiness if ICT-based learning is implemented. This study aimed to investigate: 1) how is schools' readiness related to ICT implementation in terms of school facilities and infrastructure, 2) how teachers' readiness to use ICT equipment implemented in the classroom, and how students' computer literacy is a readiness to face learning that implement ICT in the classroom. This study used a descriptive method with a quantitative and qualitative approach. The research subjects were three public senior high schools in the city of Bandung, Indonesia, as well as the subject teachers and students, totaling 6 teachers and 101 students. The instruments used are questionnaires that have been declared valid by experts based on the calculation of the Content Validity Index (CVI). Data analysis used percentages and then categorized into 4 categories of schools' readiness and teachers' readiness, as well as 5 levels of students' computer skills as a form of readiness. The results showed that schools' readiness regarding ICT implementation was in the 'strongly ready' category, mathematics teachers' readiness in implementing ICT in teaching was in the 'ready' category, meanwhile, students' computer skills were in the 'approaching proficiency' level.
