Abstrakt: A recent study conducted at the University of Chicago examined the disparities in treatment receipt among patients with inflammatory breast cancer (IBC) based on racial and ethnic backgrounds and socioeconomic factors. The researchers analyzed data from the U.S. National Cancer Database and found that racial and ethnic minority patients, particularly Black patients, were less likely to receive treatment for IBC compared to White patients. Disparities were also observed in treatment receipt based on socioeconomic factors such as household income and insurance coverage. These findings highlight the need for improved access to equitable care and efforts to reduce disparities in the IBC population. [Extracted from the article]
