Abstrakt: A recent study conducted at the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) General Hospital in Beijing, China, has developed a new method called VesselTransGAN to create Computed Tomography Angiography (CTA) images from standard CT scans without the use of contrast medium. This new approach utilizes a Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) framework and a 2D-3D fusion strategy to enhance the quality and continuity of the images. The researchers found that their model outperformed other models in terms of image quality and showed promising potential in diagnosing vascular disease. This research has the potential to improve the safety and accessibility of CTA scans for patients with renal insufficiency and enhance the accuracy of CTA scans for diagnosing vascular disease.
