Abstrakt: | Researchers at Murdoch Children's Research Institute in Parkville, Australia have conducted a study comparing the accuracy of the WatchBP Office Central device in estimating central aortic blood pressure in children and adolescents. The study found that the WatchBP device substantially overestimated central systolic blood pressure compared to the gold-standard reference, as well as other non-invasive estimation methods. The researchers concluded that there is a need for further development and validation of central blood pressure-measuring devices in this population. This research has been peer-reviewed and published in the Journal of Human Hypertension. [Extracted from the article] |
