A study conducted by Changzhou University in China explored the effects of physical activity on anxiety levels in college students, as well as the mediating role of emotion regulation. The study involved a convenience sample of 1,721 college students from different regions in China. The results showed that physical activity had a significant negative effect on anxiety levels, and cognitive reappraisal mediated this effect. The higher the level and intensity of physical activity, the lower the level of anxiety. This research provides valuable insights into the relationship between physical activity, emotion regulation, and anxiety levels in college students. [Extracted from the article] |
