A new study conducted in Chandigarh, India, introduces a novel rotating paper disk (RPD) device for the analysis of a wide range of analytes related to obesity, fitness, and wellness. The RPD device utilizes cellulose paper and 1-octanol to simplify the sample preparation process. The method was optimized using various factors and was found to be linear and precise within a certain range. The proposed method has also been successfully applied in forensic toxicology case work.
