The article titled "Innenrücktitelbild: Kopplung von Arylchloriden mit Lithium-Nukleophilen, an molekular definierten Alkynyllithium-Palladium-Katalysatoren (Angew. Chem. 41/2024)" discusses a new catalyst that can convert aryl chlorides using a dilithium tetraalkynyl palladate complex. The cover illustration depicts the catalyst as a constellation of stars in the sky, with the aryl chlorides represented as a mountain range. The catalyst system relies on THF solvent molecules to stabilize the bimetallic assembly of palladium and lithium. This catalyst allows for various cross-couplings of non-activated aryl halides, expanding the range of possible reactions. The research was conducted by Lukas J. Gooßen et al. and the design of the cover illustration was done by Nele Krüger and Dr. Jonas F. Goebel. [Extracted from the article] |
