Abstrakt: Background: The Alangium Lam. belongs to the Alangiaceae family and contains over 30 species. Researchers have identified over 300 phytochemicals from these species, including alkaloids, glycosides, terpenes, lignans, flavonoids, and steroids. However, there is no review of the antitumor properties of the Alangium genus, and the subsequent information on the mechanism of its antitumor action is not comprehensive enough. Methods: This article reviews previous studies on the Alangium obtained from various sources, including the CNKI, PubMed, Google Scholar, Connected Paper, and the chemical abstracts service (CAS). Results: Among these compounds, 85 have been found to possess anti-tumor properties, mainly belongs to alkaloids, glycosides, and terpenes. This will provide new insights and a broader perspective for future research on the effects of anti-tumor chemicals and their mechanisms of action within this plant genus. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
