A methodology has been developed for the probabilistic assessment of durability indicators of metallurgical equipment according to strength criteria based on microstructural modeling of the stressed state of the material, the distinctive feature of which is the ability to consider its anisotropy and structural defects in the form of nonmetallic inclusions or the consequences of poor-quality heat treatment. This methodology can be used to make a reasonable choice of material for parts when designing equipment or developing the structure of repair cycles at the renovation stage for objects put in operation for the first time.
