Abstrakt: The document "National Social Risk Factor Screening Rates Among Federally Qualified Health Center Patients" presents the first national estimates of social risk factor screening rates among patients at federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) in the US. The study found that 62.0% of FQHCs currently collect social risk data using a standardized screener. Among FQHCs that screened for social risk factors, 25.5% of patients had documentation of being screened, but there was significant variation among FQHCs, with some screening over 80% of their patients and others screening fewer than 20%. The document highlights challenges such as staff training, workflow integration, and limited funding that may contribute to low screening rates. Supporting FQHCs in their efforts to address social risk factors is crucial for providing equitable care to patients. [Extracted from the article]
