Abstrakt: This article explores the diaries of two women, Jane Binks and Una Falkiner, who lived in different social settings in New South Wales. Jane Binks, from a farming family, remained single and recorded the daily happenings in her rural community. Una Falkiner, from a wealthy background, was married to a grazier and was involved in high society. Both women's diaries provide insights into life in regional New South Wales from the late 19th century to the 1940s.
