Abstrakt: One of the methods to increase the efficiency of high-temperature agglomeration of metallurgical materials is an optimization of the composition and size of the protective bed, the use of which is required for increasing the service life of the grate field of conveyor machines. The work presents research data on replacing the bottom bed with limestone and briquettes. This allows one to reduce the amount of circulating production products and increase the useful use of the working volume of the conveyor machine. Replacing the protective bed material by the fine fraction of limestone provides the grate protection from thermal effects and increases conveyor machine performance. When using briquettes upon firing pellets instead of a protective bed, the potential for productivity gains in the output of marketable products reaches 25%. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
