Abstrakt: A recent study conducted by researchers from Maastricht University Medical Center in the Netherlands examined the use of the Senhance Surgical System (SSS) in pediatric robotic inguinal hernia repair. The study aimed to assess the safety and feasibility of robot-assisted surgery compared to conventional laparoscopic surgery. The pilot study included 26 patients who underwent robot-assisted surgery and 26 patients who underwent conventional surgery. The researchers found that the use of the robotic system was safe and feasible, but further research with a larger sample size and long-term follow-up is needed to evaluate efficacy.
