Abstrakt: A recent study conducted at the University of Baghdad focused on Parkinson's disease and the challenges of therapeutic adherence. The researchers aimed to find a biomarker that could predict adherence to medication in Parkinson's patients. They measured the serum level of S100B protein in 68 adult outpatients with Parkinson's disease and found that patients with poor therapeutic adherence had significantly higher levels of S100B protein. The study concluded that serum S100B level could potentially serve as a biomarker for therapeutic adherence in Parkinson's patients. [Extracted from the article]
