Abstrakt:	A recent study conducted at Inje University Ilsan Paik Hospital investigated the characteristics of extra-articular posterior loose bodies (LBs) in patients with varus ankle osteoarthritis (OA). The researchers retrospectively reviewed 50 patients who underwent operative treatment for varus ankle OA and found that LBs were predominantly located within the flexor hallucis longus (FHL) tendon sheath. The study also revealed that LBs were larger in patients with more advanced stages of ankle OA. This research provides valuable insights into the imaging evaluation of LBs in varus ankle OA.
